What we believe

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible, revealed in Jesus Christ the only Son, through the Scriptures.

01

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only Son, God manifested in flesh, born of a virgin, Mary of Nazareth, by the power of the Holy Spirit. He died crucified to fulfill the Scriptures, and his perfect sacrifice offered once for all on the cross gives us the forgiveness of our sins. We believe in his resurrection, his bodily ascension, his supreme authority, and his mediation before the Father. He will appear a second time to judge the living and the dead.

02

The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Scriptures, made up of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament, are the Word of God; they derive their inspiration and authority from God alone; they are infallible and the sole norm for the life and faith of the Church. Neither customs nor decrees, neither visions nor miracles, can modify or supplement the Scriptures.

2 Timothy 3:15-17 · 2 Peter 1:20-21 · 1 Corinthians 15:1-2

03

Humanity

We believe that man and woman were created by God in his image and likeness. The human being, created pure and innocent, fell into sin through voluntary transgression. All of humanity drifted from God, but the human being remains loved by God, called to change and turn back to him. We believe in the dignity of life, of the human body, of marriage and family.

04

Salvation

We believe that every human being can be forgiven of their sins and become righteous before God by the grace of God alone, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ. Every person justified by faith receives the ability to turn from sin and live a holy life through the Holy Spirit. Baptism by immersion, ordained by Jesus Christ, signifies death and resurrection with him.
